We spent 3 nights and the room was beautiful with great amenities. The breakfast was delicious and the staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We had a very unique situation and they accommodated our special needs. Great visit to NOLA!
My new wife and I flew into New Orleans to spend the second half of our honeymoon from Barcelona Spain. We were hoping to end this part of our journey experiencing the romantic, warm, classic charm that a bed and breakfast should offer. The ParkView historic hotel delivered that and much, much more!! Stepping into the hotel is like stepping back into a time of antebellum elegance. One is greeted by a staff that treats you life family. We will definitely be returning.
Wow, what an amazing place to stay. Southern charm doesn't seem to do it justice. Tension and stress have no place here. Have a seat in one of the sitting rooms while nipping on some port and gazing at all of the antiques adorning the hotel. There is a trolley that stops right in front of the hotel and slowly motors you down the garden district. It's a place for a quieter time.
Great location, great breakfast, great staff, very comfortable bed and pillows...love this place...will stay here if we ever get back to new orleans...just won't stay on the 3rd floor...too many stairs....but we were forwarned.....great home away from home!!!
We spent two delightful nights at the Park View Hotel. I cannot say enough good things about it. The staff was friendly especially Laurie. She made us feel so welcome from the moment we got there to the moment we left. I felt we made a friend. The breakfast we fabus both morning. There is a very nice view of the Audubon Park. Wake up in the morning and go for a walk under the beautiful huge tree overhanging the path. The St.Charles trolley stops in front of the hotel. The hotel is easy access to everywhere you want to go. All the rooms here were amazing and clean. They had a historic atmosphere and were very classy. This is a great place to stay for a business trip, weekend getaways, romantic trip or as a platform for seeing all of New Orleans. We are looking forward to our return. Shout out to Ruby!
My daughter and I were lucky enough to stay here during a visit to Tulane, although its central location on the trolley line permit easy access to any area of the city. This historic inn/B&B on the edge of a lovely park is clearly a labor of love and a source of pride for its owner and employees. Lovingly updated and maintained with appropriate period furnishings, the inn offers welcome amenities like evening wine and cookies and thoughtful touches like umbrellas, sunscreen and bug spray for use by the front door. The most remarkable aspect of this charming guest house, however, is its spirit of gracious service and integrity. An unfortunate situation arose which was not the direct fault of the inn. However, the day after my departure, I contacted the manager to let them know about it. The manager got right back to me, and the owner herself (who was out of town) immediately got involved and went over-and-above and completely out of her way to rectify the situation. She actively followed up with me, rather than the other way around, to make sure that they did all they could do to make it right. Now I will stay nowhere else in New Orleans. Give them a chance and they will earn your business, as well.
We went to Park View in conjunction with a wedding. The bride and groom were staying there and loved it. As a member of the bridal party, I was not an over night guest, but had a room there to get ready. Rooms and bathrooms were gorgeous and clean. The staff was friendly, helpful, and very accommodating of a wedding party that included children. Coffee and soft drinks were available the entire time and we were welcome to the breakfast even though we did not stay the night.
What a wonderful Guest House in the prominent Uptown/Audubon Park neighborhood of New Orleans! So inviting and warm and quintessential of the New Orleans style. Streetcar right outside the front door to get you to the French Quarter in about 30 minutes. Lovely breakfast with all you could eat food and drink and beverages and snacks including beer, wine and soft drinks every evening. Keurig coffee stations for guests on every level which was so nice. No elevator so be prepared for a good hike up if your room is on the 3rd floor, but we had help with our bags, just ask. Will definitely book here again!
The best b&b ever. Great service, great rooms, great decor, and awesome complementary amenities. Loved the wine and snacks. Loved the views from the porch. Loved the neighborhood.
The room was absolutely beautiful and the staff was very nice. I was there for a wedding and my family had the second floor to ourselves and the staff was very polite and patient with us all. I want to bring my partner there at some point for a few nights when we can so he can see it all.
I absolutely Loved Our stay here at the guest house. They were very nice and all the staff were very helpful. Such a great location in the heart of New Orleans. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone I talk to.
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The owner, Liz, is an incredible person. She welcomed our large group (we used all 22 rooms) and her staff was kind and helpful the whole time. Prices are very competitive and the rooms are so comfortable. There were plenty of spaces for our family to hang out and spend time in around the hotel. I highly recommend the Park View for individuals and for large groups!
